Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Microwave-safe bowls
  • Offset spatula

Ingredients

  • 12 oz orange candy melts
  • 6 oz black candy melts
  • 15 Oreo cookies roughly chopped into large pieces
  • 2 tablespoons Halloween sprinkles
  • candy eyeballs for topping, optional

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Melt the orange candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and fully melted.
  • Pour the melted orange candy onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into an even layer with an offset spatula or the back of a spoon, about 1/4 inch thick.
  • While the orange layer is still warm, melt the black candy melts the same way, in 30-second microwave intervals.
  • Drizzle the melted black candy over the orange layer in loose lines, then drag a toothpick or skewer through both colors to create a marbled swirl. Work quickly, since the orange layer will start to set as it cools.
  • Scatter the chopped Oreo pieces evenly over the swirled surface, pressing them in gently so they stick.
  • Add the Halloween sprinkles and candy eyeballs, if using, pressing them lightly into the still-soft candy.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, until the bark is completely firm.
  • Break the bark into rustic, irregular pieces to serve.

Notes

Work while the candy melts are still warm - once the orange layer starts to set, the black swirl won't blend in smoothly and toppings won't stick as well. Melt each color separately in short intervals, since candy melts can seize if overheated. Press toppings in rather than just scattering them so they don't fall off once the bark is broken apart. Break the bark by hand instead of cutting it for the best rustic look. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, layering pieces with parchment if stacking. Calories per serving: ~175 kcal (estimated)
